Terms of Sale

Commission Charges--10% commission on animals, ratites, caged consignments and SWAP consignments. A minimum commission of $10 is charged per head (for example, if your animal brings anything less than $100, you will incur a $10 commission charge).  SWAP consignments are charged a $5.00 minimum commission (for example, if your cage brings anything less than $50, you will incur a $5 commission charge). A $10 NO SALE FEE will apply to animals and ratites.  A $5 NO SALE FEE will apply to caged and SWAP consignments. Any nonlive consignments will be charged a flat 20% commission on any item selling up to $99.99 or 10% for an item selling $100 and over.

Yardage--CONSIGNORS will be charged $2 per head yardage charge.  In the case of a no sale, the yardage charge is included in the $10 no sale fee.  No charge on SWAP consignments.

Vet Inspection Fees--BUYERS will be charged $2 per head vet inspection fee.  No charge on SWAP consignments.

Care of Animals--For hoof stock, swine, and ratites, Mid-America Animal Sales will provide water, hay, and bedding.  Owner will provide grain.  For crated exotics, caged animals/birds, and all SWAP consignments, owner will provide all water, feed, and bedding.

Terms of Payment

We will accept cash, cashier's checks, money orders, or traveler's checks.  We are able to accept Mastercard and Visa but a processing fee will be applied. To pay with personal or business check, your bank's letter of credit MUST be received no later than one week before sale date.
